It is important to take a few moments each day to check in with yourself, to ground your feet into the floor, to hear the sound of your own breath, to feel grateful.
Away from your desk, the children, social media (after you have finished reading this) and just reconnect.
Even if it is a minute, do it. If it helps, time yourself. One minute may turn into two, two into three, three into sixty. It is your time, so there is no judgement, no right or wrong way of doing it.
Release the fear of being selfish for taking this time for yourself - you are of no use to anyone else if you are not caring for yourself.
